Food: 7/10

First, we will start with food for this Caribbean Princess Ship Review.
Main Dining Rooms: The Caribbean Princess has 3 main dining rooms The Coral, Island, and Palm. No matter what princess cruise you go on, all the main dining rooms serve the same menu, so you never have to worry about missing out. However, every day the menu options change. The only difference between them is whether you must make a reservation. The princess app, before your cruise, will tell you what restaurant you need to have a reservation for.
The food in the dining rooms was a hit or miss like most diner options on cruises. However, it was better than most princess cruises mainly for the fact that it was only a seven-day cruise. What we have noticed while traveling is that on any cruise that is more than 7 days you just have to anticipate the food not being as good. Mainly for the fact they need to figure out how to stretch produce for a longer amount of time. 10+ day cruises are also usually on smaller boats meaning less room to store and make food. Of course, the best thing on the Caribbean boat was the desert. Some other food areas on the boat include:
- International Cafe
- The World Fresh Market Place (The Buffet)
- Slice Pizzeria
- Coffee and Cones
- Salty Dog Grill
- Crown Grill
- Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria
- Planks BBQ
(We unfortunately never ate at Planks BBQ)
Coffee, Tea, and other Specialty Drinks
For my Coffee and Tea Lovers: If you want a coffee I suggest skipping Coffee and Cones on the lido deck and instead going to the coffee place next to the international cafe. Because Coffee and Cones is next to the swimming pool it is packed all the time. The line is always very outrageous. Instead, go to the international cafe. The coffee is much better and there are more options. They are closer to supplies so they are always running out of Coffee and Cones, plus the crew is so friendly and not as burned out with all the orders.
