Hello and welcome to Jones Luck! I’m Faith Jones, and I’m excited to introduce you to my little corner of the internet. This blog is a space where I’ll be documenting my journey—not just through life but through the world of blogging and journalism.
Why I Created This Blog
The purpose of this blog is twofold. First, I’m here to learn how to blog and practice journalistic writing as part of a journalism class. I’ve never taken a journalism course before, so this is a completely new experience for me. I’m looking forward to honing my writing skills, understanding the basics of blogging, and sharing my thoughts with the world.
Second, this blog will follow my personal life journey, focusing on my passions: crochet, gardening, and travel. I’ve always enjoyed creative hobbies, and I love the idea of using this platform to showcase the skills I’ve picked up along the way. More importantly, I hope to use this blog as a way to teach others—whether it’s sharing crochet patterns, gardening tips, or travel experiences.
What to Expect
I’ll be posting weekly content, diving into the things that inspire me. Since this class takes place during the spring semester, I thought it would be fitting to include gardening as one of my main topics. I have 0.5 acres of land that I love to work on in the spring, and I can’t wait to share my gardening experiences with you. Along with that, expect posts about my crochet projects and my adventures in travel, whether near or far.
One of my biggest creative outlets is crochet. I love designing my own patterns and experimenting with new stitches and techniques. Through this blog, I’ll be sharing free patterns for my readers to try out, along with step-by-step guides to help beginners get started. Whether it’s a cozy blanket, trendy accessories, or intricate amigurumi, I want Jones Luck to be a space where fellow crochet lovers can find inspiration and guidance.
Beyond just sharing patterns, I also sell completed crochet projects. If you’ve ever considered turning your handmade crafts into a small business, I’ll be offering tips and tricks on becoming a vendor, selling at craft fairs, and navigating the world of handmade markets. From pricing your work to setting up an eye-catching booth, I want to help fellow makers succeed in selling their creations.
I’m thrilled to start this blogging journey and see where it takes me. Whether you’re here for gardening tips, crochet tutorials, travel insights, or simply to follow along on my writing journey, I hope Jones Luck brings you something valuable. Thanks for reading, and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!
Stay tuned for my next post!
